Recently John has been playing with his multiple exposure technique… perhaps you remember his images for Topo Athletics. Well his work has not gone unnoticed. The good people at ESPN The Magazine commissioned him to create this stunning image for the current issue’s Technique section. Everyone likes free music! Rolling Stone’s daily download features “Higher” by Gary Richards aka Destructo with photography provided by Lionel Deluy. Those of us who followed the LA electronic scene in the 90s have watched Destructo go from throwing underground events in the middle of the desert to being the founder of HARD, currently responsible for HARD Summer and Holy Ship! Be sure to check out the Instragram contest to win VIP tickets to this summer’s event.
A couple of weeks ago our good friends at Stussy invited us to the release or their recent collaboration with Dashwood books. Pools, is a bound compilation of unreleased images by the late and legendary surf and skate photographer Craig Fineman. The book has received countless accolades, and we thought we would bring it to the attention of our friends and readers. Enjoy.
Yes…! You clever internet sleuths out there in blog land, your Sherlock Holmes deductive reasoning was right…! Lionel’s shoot was at the Sheats Goldstein Residence. I don’t know if it was the iconic corner window in the background, or the Above Horizon post that gave it away… but you guys are good. Here are some additional images of the property. Enjoy.
May the 4th be with you!!!! Happy Star Wars Day everybody. Images courtesy of Leah Minium.
Thinkspace will be holding a group show from May 4th to the 25th featuring work from our good friend Yosuke Ueno. Be sure to check it out and hit us up if you are going to attend the opening reception on the 4th from 6-9pm. See you there…
Happy May Day everyone! Claudia Goetzelmann is always up for a celebration, and Spring is a particularly good reason to break out the balloons. Enjoy!
One of the perks of working with photographers is you get to visit some rare and inspirational locations… remote islands in Thailand, Middle Eastern deserts, and most recently Above Horizon, by James Turrell. We thought we would share a few pictures.
John Huet’s work with Tyler Seguin for the Improper Bostonian is featured in A Photo Editor’s Daily Edit today. We have attached some additional images from the shoot.
